Inside Sales Engineer
Primary Objective of Position: The objective of the ISE position is to optimize each customer contact by adding value and thereby strengthening the relationship with the customer. Under supervision, the Inside Sales Engineer (ISE) Level I provides quote support to sales representatives and customers by providing pre-sales, post-sales and basic technical support. The ISE I works with customers on sizing, selecting and recommending Flow and density equipmentthat matches application requirements. The ISE I generates a quote that will result in the customer purchasing from Emerson. Essential Job Functions: Working with their salesperson or more senior ISEs, an ISE I performs the following functions: · Provides basic technical solutions and general application assistance. · Works directly with customers, Field Sales and Field Service to provide presales application support and to generate formal quotations for customers. · Field general questions about Emerson Process products and services. Also, be able to clearly convey Emerson Processâ??s differentiation message. · Lead the customer through the sizing and selection process to choose equipment that will meet their needs. · Follow-up with customers to ensure that the quote was received, answer any questions, and identify when an order may be placed. · Practice good phone skills in terms of the ability to open, manage and close a presales technical sales support call. Timely, accurate, and proactive with regard to each customer interaction. · Continue to enhance knowledge of Flow products, applications and industries. · Provide backup and support for other ISEs and team members to maintain service levels. · Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
