AutoCAD skills are preferred, while ProE and PLC automation would be advantageous. The Intern will be directed by, and work closely with, the Manufacturing Engineers on staff. The intent is to provide both an industrial learning opportunity for the student, to help the Manufacturing engineering group complete their work as well as provide the opportunity for evaluation for full-time employment. This work content will be both hands-on and office oriented.
Projects:
* Update NLBU Layout in AutoCAD
* Travel to local Midwest facilities to support improvement projects
* Identification of new technology that would help to automate or mistake-proof finishing operations
* Assessment of finishing working instructions and processes for accuracy, safety and efficiency
* Assist with "Suggest to be the Best" projects - fixture repairs, fixture updates, small design projects, etc...
* Assist with Quality Action Report projects - fixture updates, new fixtures, ree programs that may apply:
