Job Description The role of the Media Planning & Buying Manager is hands-on for every paid medium detail and requires working across three brands and their respective marketing teams. The Manager must complete a wide range of activities requiring clear communication, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. The Manager will run point on every detail including the following:
Job Duties and Responsibilities
* Assist in developing, planning, implementing, and maintaining media objectives and brand strategies for the Quiksilver, Roxy and DC brands.
* Collaborate with creative department and media reps to develop new advertising approaches and media units to create major impact.
* Maintain budgets, flowcharts, and invoicing. Work with calculations and other quantitative data.
* Constantly monitor and report on trends in media and youth culture.
* Meet with advertising sales representatives to analyze the value and applicability of media vehicles for brand marketing plans.
* Collaborate with corporate partners on strategic media buys.
* Provide pre and post-season evaluation of media plan reach, target market penetration and media mix effectiveness
* Responsible for three brands Quiksilver, Roxy, DC as they pertain to media planning & buying.
Job Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or a related field.
* 3-5 years media planning experience (relevant internship/coursework will be considered)
* Excellent organizational, quantitative and analytical skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills with high professionalism
* Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision
* Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
* A strong interest in media and youth pop culture, as well as a creative and innovative mindset
* Proven ability in building, negotiating and executing media and marketing strategies
* Working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Experience with other media planning tools a plus
