Job Description The goal of the Retail Communications Manager is to ensure presentation excellence for the Quiksilver, Roxy and DC brands through management of strategic plans to execution of seasonal programs, campaigns and brand initiatives. This individual will create the strategy and implement an annual retail calendar of POP investments by priority for Quiksilver stores, wholesale accounts and digital e-commerce accounts. This position will focus on providing unique, compelling, inspiring, and consistent in-store and online messaging that tells the stories of the Quiksilver brands. This role will have responsibility for program managing all of the POP asset distribution by channel by creating a work back timeline to meet asset delivery deadlines.
Job Responsibilities · Collaborate with Retail Marketing Manager to collectively decide on strategy of in-store POP and digital asset objectives and goals annually by brand. Partner with Marketing and Sales to develop a plan based on volume and visibility to leverage sales for Quiksilver Stores, wholesale accounts and on-line accounts. · Create an annual retail calendar of tiered POP and digital asset investments based on multiple campaigns, seasonal messages, retailer locations and assets and budget. · Build and expand retailer asset opportunities for Quiksilver brands (window commitments, building murals, seasonal store take-over opportunities). Negotiate and influence key real estate positions. · Develop a work back schedule for each project on the calendar or other key projects with deliverable dates and execute to meet deadlines. · Elevate the consumer experience with the Quiksilver brands by developing innovative, creative and unique visual marketing elements that captures the consumer’s mindset and engages them with our brand and product. · Manage the design, development and installation of POP and digital assets through brand art teams and vendors including: windows, seasonal duratrans, in-store signage, and other visual presentation elements. · Filter and process graphic requests from sales managers, reps and accounts that align and support the strategic plan of campaign and marketing needs. · Provides leadership for maximizing the budget, prioritizing investments and managing the efficiency of the production and distribution of POP & digital assets. Effectively communicate the plan through the project management process from marketing and sales, to vendors, to our Retail Merchandising Specialists and our accounts. · Execute seasonal recaps of our top campaign executions to our department and key stakeholders. · Effectively optimize budgets and manage expenditures.
Job Requirements · 3-5 years experience in Retail Communications · Bachelors Degree · Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills · Strong organizational, prioritization and project management and results orientation skills · Working knowledge of Microsoft office, Excel, PowerPoint, Illustrator and Google sketch · Understanding of graphic materials, printing and production, installation and light construction · Key knowledge of customer shopping experience, sightlines, traffic patterns, navigation through spaces, retail fixtures, and retail marketing strategies Full-time/Part-time Full-Time Employment Status Regular Shift 1st Company Quiksilver Americas, Inc.
