2nd Shift CNC Machinist
General Description: 2nd Shift Machinist Vertical CNC Mills
Job Purpose:
Produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating (CNC) machines
Maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, maintaining equipment and supplies.
Duties:
- Machine parts to close tolerances.
- Machines used in shop: Fadal & Kiwa - Omax waterjet.
- Demonstrate ability to use micrometers, vernier calipers.
- Plan machining by studying work orders, blueprints.
- Load, align, set up program & run vertical 3-4 axis mills.
- Debur parts as required.
- Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part.
- Adhere to international ISO & AS9100 standards.
- Maintain specifications by taking measurements.
- Adjust and reprogramming controls
- Maintain quality and quantity.
- Maintain a clean work area daily.
- Maintain safe operations.
- Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance. r
- Maintain continuity among work shifts.
- Document actions by completing production and quality logs.
Requirements:
Skills/Qualifications:
- Use of shop math.
- Ability to read blueprints
- Knowledge of machining methods & cutting qualities of metal.
- 3 to 5 years machining experience
Work experience requirements:
- Candidates must be willing to work 2nd shift and overtime.
- 3 to 5 years experience CNC Vertical Mills machinist
- Experience with ISO9001 and AS9100 requirements
- Machine shop background
- Attention to quality control
- Good attendance and work ethic
- Proven work history
- 2nd shift candidates only need to apply
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Machinist certificate
- Vocational training
- Skill trades
