Georgia-Pacific, LLC has an opening at its
Garland, TX Reusable Plastic Container (RPC) facility for a
3rd Shift Production Supervisor. The Garland RPC is a unit of the Company's Packaging division which has many diverse products & services.
Responsibilities of the Shift Supervisor include driving and developing a safety culture on the production floor. The Supervisor will manage the day to day operation of the RPC facility with emphasis on quality, productivity improvements, and accuracy. The Shift Supervisor will also include direct supervision and training of hourly production employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Coach Production Operators on performing value added tasks. Coach and lead Operators to drive improvement initiatives on the shift. Coach and lead Operators to improve asset availability and uptime. Lead Quality efforts on shift. Maintain a safe environment for his/her self and as well as all of his/her direct reports.
Basic Qualifications: - High School Education or equivalent
- Bachelors degree is preferred
- Bilingual is a plus
- Available to work first, second and third shift if needed
- 3 or more years experience in a management or supervisory position within a manufacturing, production, industrial or military environment
- Available to work overtime, holidays and weekends if necessary
