JOB DESCRIPTION
BRIEF POSITION SUMMARY: The Accounts Solutions Representative executes various duties including, inside sales, customer service, VMI and outbound telesales. DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
* Supports Competitive Advantage Program (CAP) customer opportunities to deliver Metalworking growth. * Assists in identification and cross-referencing of product for VMI program. * Resolves customer product and service issues by providing sales-related solutions utilizing the most common source of information. Consults with
other associates to locate alternate sources of information. * Answers inbound calls to sell MSC products, responds to customer needs, under manager’s guidance consistent with MSC standards, culture and
business practices. * Studies MSC’s products/services, sales techniques, and culture, under close guidance of the manager. * Assists branch in large quoting opportunities by sourcing, crossing, and suggesting alternative items. * Identifies additional sales opportunities and reports information to the assigned Account Executive. * Supports all vending solutions in the field. * Fosters the MSC Culture in the branch and throughout the company to ensure unity of purpose and fulfillment of MSC’s mission. * Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required.*INDICATES ESSENTIAL DUTIES To perform this job successfully an associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: * A High School Diploma or the equivalent is required. * Associate’s degree or the equivalent is preferred. Bachelor’s degree a plus. * 0-2 years inbound/outbound telephone sales or customer service experience LLS: * Computer literacy and proficiency in word-processing and spreadsheet software is required. * Excellent oral and written communications skills are also required. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: * A valid driver’s license is required. * Position requires 40 - 60% local travel within branch or market territory. * May need to lift up to 50 lbs based on customer needs.
