Critical Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
2+ years of hands on software development experience
Ability and propensity to abstract specific problems into generic problem definitions
Object oriented and functional programming skills
Solid understanding of core internet/web technologies, i.e. HTTP/S, DNS, IPv4, javascript/CSS/HTML
Excellent debugging and problem solving skills
SQL and data modeling skills
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
2+ years of hands on software development experience
Distinct advantages for this position are:
Java experience is a plus, but experience with any modern high level language may be substituted
Familarity with MongoDB/MapReduce is a plus
Familiarity with Flash/Flex is a plus
Experience working with source control systems
Ability to independently design, code, and unit test major features, as well as work jointly with other team members to deliver complex changes
Experience writing scalable code for high transaction volume sites
Ecommerce experience
