PROTOTYPE ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN Prototype Engineering Technician to work in Prototype lab. The Engineering Technician will assist in the development of manufacturing processes. Performing component qualifications, and conducting failure and Thermal analysis. Solid E/M skills as they are building the first units and working out assembly instructions "bugs" before sending to manufacturing. Might require some mechanical/machine shop skills in the fabrication area. An Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering is required as well as a good understanding of basic electronics. Proficiency in the use of test equipment including oscilloscopes, volt meters, electrical safety testers, etc. is needed. Candidates must be familiar with hand tools and light duty machine shop equipment and have strong soldering and assembly skills. Applicants with NEC code or panel wiring experience are preferred..
