Assembly Technician
Title Assembly Technician Division ATS Ohio Location Lewis Center, Ohio Major Duties Assist the Lead Technician with the execution of the assembly project plan as established by the Project Manager and Project Technician. Perform all responsibilities as part of the project team to meet or beat project schedule and budget goals.
Use safe work habits and maintain a clean and organized work area throughout the entire project. Comply with all company Safety and Operating Procedures. Specific Responsibilities Work Management Tasks . Maintain assembly build log . Ensure that incoming assemblies are checked for completeness, accuracy, and quality . Assist Lead Technician with documentation of all setup and adjustment procedures . Ensure that all unused materials are kept in bins or on storage shelves
Technical Tasks . Ensure that ATS Ohio and ISO 9001 assembly and documentation standards are being followed . Build, wire, and plumb equipment to meet ATS standards and customer specifications . Complete and document mechanical debug, electrical debug, I/O setup and checkout, process debug, and software debug . Implement all Acceptance Test Plans and collect system performance data . Crate and/or skid equipment for shipment . Perform system installation at the customer facility . Assist with customer training
Qualifications Associate degree in Automated Manufacturing, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
Experience in an automation/manufacturing environment is preferred. Outstanding commitment level with a technical aptitude or background required. Knowledge of mechanical drawings and practices, electrical diagrams and schematics, pneumatics and general assembly procedures is beneficial. Competencies Ability to climb, crawl, lift & carry up to 70#
