Posted Position Title Assembly Technician Career Level Experienced Function Engineering/Technology Function Segment Technical Location United States U.S. State, China or Canada Provinces New Jersey Relocation Assistance No Role Summary/Purpose The successful candidate will join the Omnyx Scanner Manufacturing team and act under direction of the Manufacturing Manager and will be responsible for performing electro-mechanical assembly operations as part of the Scanner Assembly. Essential Responsibilities Responsibilities will include:
.Perform complex and precise electro-mechanical assembly work. .Electro-mechanical assembly of power supplies, ePC's and hardware in accordance with work orders. .Must be able to work from complex and detailed manufacturing documentation and/or verbal and written instructions and specialized fixtures. .Responsible for quality activities, including self inspection and tests. Updates production records and test results. .Software downloads for motion controllers. .Optical and camera assembly. .Receiving Inspection of materials and components. .Maintain detailed documentation of assembly and inspection processes. .Identify discrepant materials/components both in writing and verbally to supervisor. .Maintain a clean and orderly work area .Work independently Qualifications/Requirements .Associates or Technical degree. .Knowledge of GD&T. .The ability to read product specifications, prints and test methods. .Knowledge of ERP and MRP systems. .Knowledge of ISO13485 and FDA GMP Quality Management Systems. .Excellent documentation abilities. .Detail oriented. .Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment. .Microsoft Office skills. .Basic knowledge of Statistical Process Control concepts. .Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal .Ability to lift 30-50 lbs on a daily basis .Ability to maintain a safe working environment Additional Eligibility Qualifications GE will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States for this opening.
