Assistant Operations Manager
Assistant Operations Manager Position Summary: Manage the day to day operation of chassis moving within the Nationwide Domestic Pool to ensure the highest customer satisfaction and optimization of chassis utilization. Accountabilities will include forecasting, analytics, reporting on a customer and geographical basis. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Collaborate, coordinate and communicate chassis related activities with team members * Analyze and Coordinate inventory development, distribution, allocation and delivery of chassis while maximizing the cost effectiveness. * Provide Management and Customers with various reports as required. * Distribute and monitor inventory performance metrics. * Provide performance reports to management; Prepare statistical data to ensure expectations and goals are met. * Responsible for maintaining, tracking and analyzing chassis movement data for assigned location(s) and, or customer(s). * Develop, maintain and expand business relationship with assigned accounts and other third party customers and vendors working with the Domestic Chassis Pool. * Act as primary customer and partner liaison on all logistics related matters pertaining to process, implementation, business lines and on-going performance. * Secure and analyze customer business forecasts to facilitate equipment positioning and supply. * Analyze on and off terminal customer usage reports to identify trends and needs. * Recommend actions corrective or otherwise as needed. * Review customer billings on daily, weekly and monthly basis * Collaborate with internal data cleansing coordinators resolve data issues in a timely fashion and to identify data integrity improvement opportunities. * Cross-train and provide coverage for team members * Create, update and maintain process documents. Knowledge skills abilities and Qualifications: * Must have a sense of urgency. * College degree preferred. * Related experience preferred. * Ability to meet deadlines, and prioritize the work load. * Customer-focused and service-oriented. * Must be well organized and ability to multi-task. * Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills * Strong analytical, interpersonal and project management skills * Must be computer proficient, Word, Excel, Outlook, databases etc. Work Environment Requirements: * Must be available to work a flexible schedule.
