Position Description
The Associate Team Member is an entry level position that has the responsibility and authority to perform any of the following duties depending on the department the employee is assigned: Set up equipment, fixtures and machines, set up and operate lathe, milling machine, surface grinder, operate molding machines, the automated spear machine, chopper and bowl feeder machines, operate ultrasonic cleaner, microscopes and other equipment to make product, manufacturing processes, in-line and/or gate inspections, soldering and assembling subassemblies/products and testing of all products manufactured. Assists in the production and testing of all products manufactured, package sterile and non-sterile products according to various drawings and specifications, moving materials to proper stores area or to the designated individual. Understands manufacturing documentation to document work, inspection results and to maintain device history records
Position Responsibilities
Pick parts from stock. Instruments and Bag & Tag Work Order packaging. Initiates NCR's if necessary. Prints and Drawing. Chess Transactions (inventory inquiry, issue and close WO's) Move orders for packaging materials. Print Inspection Instructions. (II) Performs manufacturing processes. Sets up press/fixtures and equipment as required for production. Performs various operations and uses equipment to make product. Ensure machines are operating in accordance with setup sheets. Solders and assembles subassemblies/products. Performs in-line and/or gate inspections. Document work and inspection results. Completes required paperwork and work order documentation in addition to maintaining device history records, manufacturing documentation and other production documentation. Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with the Medtronic Xomed Quality System.
Basic Qualifications
Some light assembly experience preferred.
Desired/Preferred Qualifications
Ability to read and count accurately, do simple math, and write legibly. Ability to operate lift truck equipment (order selector, forklift) or have completed a lift truck-training program. Basic computer keyboard skills and ability to operate scanner equipment. The ability to follow directions is extremely important Able to learn to understand blueprints. Accuracy is required. Knowledge of basic arithmetic including decimals and fractions. Must be able to do high quality detailed work to assure acceptable quality is maintained. Able to understand and interpret measurements. Able to use measuring devices. Able to learn how to use all required tools. Able to operate molding machines. Able to learn and understand routers, specification sheets, schematics, and engineering drawings. Able to solder, use measuring tools, micrometers, calipers, etc., in assembling electronic products, hand pieces, and all subassembly work. Able to understand routers and manufacturing instructions. Able to maintain device history records and understand manufacturing documentation (Router, BOM/Pick-list, XPI, MI, II, SOP and Drawings). Understand work order procedures, inventory controls, as well as ensure proper documentation is maintained to allow for proper tracking of product and materials. Able to follow assembly and inspection instructions. Able to use a technical drawing to assist the assembly of a product. Excellent hand-eye coordination. Able to complete a well-documented training program on proper packaging methods, GMPs, XESs, and SOPs pertaining to the packaging function. Must be meticulous in paperwork and detail oriented. Able to use a pallet jack
