Job Description Summary: Summary: Reviews MRP requirements in SAP and communicates delivery schedules with suppliers in support of commercial contracts in a timely manner.
Essential duties and responsibilities include the following: . Manages MRP material parameters and supply requirements (message logic investigation/action, periods of supply, lead times, etc.). .Communicates related data to the Procurement and Production Teams. . Reviews supplier delivery commitments and adjusts/communicates as necessary. . Responds to procurement team requests and expedites orders accordingly; which may include modifying Purchase Orders. . Maintains P.O. re-schedules messages report. . Creates and maintains a daily expedite board in coordination with Shipping/Receiving. . Assists Procurement and Production team on incoming / outgoing shipments as required. . Resolves issues in receipt routing preventing parts from being closed to stock (i.e. paperwork, part quality, etc.); communicates priorities to Receiving/Receiving Inspection. . Communicates with suppliers and internal customers regarding delivery dates, quality, etc. . Work in coordination with Procurement Team in tracking the part movement between vendors and Goodrich. . Confers with suppliers to obtain product availability, and delivery schedule. . Responsible for distributing urgent requests to suppliers in support of production requirements. . Accountable to comply with all purchasing documentation (write-up) requirements per policy and procedure. . Maintains procurement metrics such as supplier schedules, customer requirements, items or services purchased costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories. . Discusses defective or unacceptable goods or services with inspection or quality control personnel, users, vendors, and others to determine source of trouble and take corrective action. . Create and distribute monthly reports to vendors of customer furnished material; illustrating supply vs. usage. . Assists Procurement team in the creation, management and maintenance of supply chain management tools. . Other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications: Qualifications: . Bachelor degree in Supply Chain, Materials Management, Business Administration or related field OR 4years experience in lieu of degree is required. . 2 years experience in material planning, inventory control, and/or purchasing in a manufacturing environment preferred. . Experience using MRP planning reports and understanding MPS concepts related scheduling . Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business procedures and government regulations . Must possess excellent communication and organization skills . Proficient in Microsoft Office applications . Previous experience with SAP (or other related ERP systems) preferred, previous aerospace experience, APICS certification a plus . While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms; stoop or kneel. The employee frequently is required to sit; stand; walk; use hands to handle office materials; and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. .
