Associate Manufacturing Technician- Alameda, CA
Under the direction of the Manager, perform assigned tasks, including maintenance of passivation and cleaning line, packaging, and labeling areas; laser marking; basic inspection; basic manual machining; hand finishing; and rapid prototype (SLA/Stratasys) programming & operation. Perform this work in a team environment and help ensure the team meets and exceeds its team goals and objectives. Essential Duties & Responsibilities (detailed descriptions) • Maintain cleaning line, packaging/labeling area and rapid prototype equipment. • Perform basic inspection. • Perform basic manual machining. • Perform hand finishing. • Perform laser marking. • Work closely with teammates, project engineers, customer service, and distribution to optimize the supply chain. • Effectively communicate project status with all team members & customers on a daily basis. • Work effectively with Teammates (Project Engineers, Project Planners, etc.) to determine project/work prioritization and to meet team deadlines.
Qualifications/Work Experience
• 0-2 years experience of machine shop practices. • Basic understanding/application of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook & Access; prefer proficiency in Oracle and AS400 applications. • Demonstrated ability to read blueprints and understand operating specifications. • Applied knowledge of measurement/inspection devices. • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment which emphasizes continuous learning of new skills and cross training. • Ability to accommodate changes in project priorities with short notice. • Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds
Education and/or Special Training
High School or Vocational/Technical School diploma OR equivalent relevant work experience.
