A member of our Technical Services Division, located in Suffolk, VA, has an opportunity for an
Automated Data Processing (ADP) Technician II to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
Work as a member of a Northrop Grumman TS team supporting the USJFCOM Joint Warfighting Center (JWFC). We are seeking a highly motivated person to serve as the Automated Data Processing (ADP) Technician II for work assignments and overall requirements. Candidate will support the ADP shop by processing all Joint & Coalition Warfighting Center (JCWC) exercise ADP requirements. The candidate will install and maintain MS Windows workstations in support of exercise support requirements and will provide mentorship to other technicians. The candidate must be capable of installing patches and upgrades to Windows systems, as well as performing system security lockdowns in support of Information Assurance (IA) requirements. Further, the candidate will assist in isolation and troubleshooting of operating systems, network and application-related problems.
Basic Qualifications: To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below: • Must be able to lift and move equipment
• Familiarity with network security required
• Excellent and well founded, written and oral communication skills are absolutely essential
• Must have experience with the resolution of problems related to hardware and software, both application and operating systems
• Requires a minimum of a BA w/three (3) years of experience with Automated Data Processing experience in MS Windows. Seven (7) yrs experience w/o degree
• Must have one of the following IA certifications to meet DoD IAT Level I requirements: SSCP Systems Security Certified Practitioner, CompTIA-A , Network or Security
Must be a U.S. Citizen with a current and active U.S. Secret level security clearance with SCA access to be selected. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
• Familiarity with DISA Gold Disk and STIGS is preferred.
• GIAC Information Security Fundamentals (GISF) & GIAC Security Leadership Certification (GSLC) highly preferred
• Information Security Manager Certified or at least a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Associate desired
