Job Description
A Security Officer plays a significant role in ensuring a safe, secure and friendly environment by enforcing hospital safety and security policies. An Officer is a friendly resource to individuals who need assistance, crisis intervention or hospital directions. They respond quickly in emergency situations as an integral team member and serve to protect the property, patients, and employees of Intermountain Healthcare.
Entry Rate: $11.53 + years of experience
Benefits Eligible: partial
Shift Details: Variable, filling in for employees on vacation, Leave of Absents, etc.
Department: Safety and Security
Minimum Requirements
- One or more years of security, law enforcement, corrections, public safety experience
- Must have a valid in-state driver's license without record of suspension, revocation or denial
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Must be at least 21 years of age
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs, pull, push, bend, stoop, and twist to perform routine duties and physically assist patients, visitors and employees
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous security experience
- Able communicate verbally and in writing in a clear, concise and efficient manner
