Description: Description of Major Duties: The Senior Business Analyst, Desktop Systems role within the Workplace Technology team is responsible for all activities related to client computing hardware, thin client computing, shop floor hardware, operating systems, desktop applications and configuration management of these technologies. This person will drive alignment and continuity with the business through the collection of business requirements and the creation of system and architectural requires to be utilized by the technical team in the development of related systems to closely align with business operations. . Hold meetings with key internal members to understand business operations, on-going system needs, provide status updates, and gather information used to prioritize projects. . Analyze business problems and propose solutions, including cost justifications to solve them. . Write detailed functional design documents, including logical and physical data flow models. . Write test plans and oversee all unit, system, and acceptance testing. . Stay on top of industry changes, recommend and implement industry best practices. . Ensure that system functional documentation remains current, including systems specification documents and flowcharts. . Develop end-user training programs as applicable. . Liaise with internal IT groups to establish strong continuity. . Understand and adhere to policies based around inventory of company software and system assets and their corresponding contracts and/or agreements.
Requirements: . Four-year college diploma or university degree in computer systems design, computer science or related field and/or equivalent technical degree plus 7 years of I.T. experience. . Windows 7 and Microsoft SCCM experience is desired. . Highly proficient in communicating and driving information technology solutions that aggressively supports business objectives. . Performance driven using metrics. . Understanding and practical experience with ITIL principles and processes. . Outstanding presentation, verbal and written communication skills. . Good blend of people skills, technical/functional skills and knowledge. . Ability to work collaboratively and make decisions. . Passion for developing people, teams, and organizations. . Great listening and facilitation skills.
