General Purpose of Job:
To drive profitable growth within the Semiconductor industry by developing a strategic plan and driving its cross-functional implementation.
Specific competencies include solid project management, marketing management, and business development skills. A successful candidate must ultimately achieve outstanding customer satisfaction by creating sustainable competitive advantages throughout the entire order fulfillment process.

Reports to (Title): Global Marketing Director
Direct Reports (Titles): None
Duties & Responsibilities:
* Create and maintain the “plan to win” for Watlow’s participation in the market. Use input from Regional Marketing, strategic/key account management, and sales management to develop multi-year program plans and translate them into annual business plans.
* Ensure that product plans reflect the needs of the program. Actively engage with product management to ensure that product life-cycle strategies (development, pricing, extensions, rationalization, retirement) reflect the requirements of the program.
* Provide market technology roadmap information to all development groups to assist in identifying, evaluating and/or developing new technologies and competencies required to exploit attractive new opportunities.
* Using “Voice-of-the-Customer” techniques to identify and validate opportunities to create differentiated product and service offerings that have high customer value.
* Actively engage with Regional Sales Management to ensure that channel strategies and tactics are appropriate to meet the needs of the program. Provide training, customer lists, and technical assistance to sales agents to ensure maximum effectiveness of every contact event.
* Completely understand the competitive landscape in the program space. Work closely with management teams and project leaders to develop countermeasures to competitive threats.
* Ensure that a comprehensive marketing communication strategy is developed and executed. Provide direction to create, distribute, and update product-oriented sales tools including spec sheets, catalogs, advertisements, trade show presence, web-site upgrades, training content, and case histories.
* Develop and maintain effective business relationships with key customers and other external opinion leaders, competitors, and industry organizations that impact the program.
* Exhibit leadership consistent with the values, principles, and behaviors of the Watlow Way.

Independent Decisions:
* Methodologies for market/opportunity evaluations

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
* BS degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, Scientific or related discipline. Preference is a technical undergraduate degree and an MBA. Industrial B-to-B sales experience is a plus
* Minimum ten years of relevant business experience in an industrial B-to-B environment.
* Minimum five years of relevant business experience in a strategy and planning role addressing the semiconductor industry.
* Demonstrated ability in strategic planning including operational, financial, and marketing fundamentals
* Ability to “see” how innovative solutions could be developed from the intersection of technology and market trends
* Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple activities with specific goals and timelines.
* Superb interpersonal skills are required to influence and interact with all organizational levels
* Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment.
