A seasoned manufacturer is seeking 3 CAD Designers for its Eastern Pennsylvania facility. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities:
-> Design new products using advanced tools (such as FEA and CFD software) to ascertain optimum mechanical and hydraulic design
-> Carry out engineering calculations, such as, bearing life and flange loadings
-> Perform stress and strain calculations on pump and structural components
-> Review equipment configurations as they apply to proposal bids and generate design solutions/proposals to assist Projects and Sales Engineers
-> Write detailed product and component specifications and prepare operation/service manual instructions as required
-> Perform failure analysis and troubleshooting for customer problems and complete special projects as assigned
-> Some travel with exposure to adverse working conditions
-> Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations, while maintaining departmental housekeeping standards
Requirements:
-> Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or a technical discipline
-> Unigraphics 3D modeling and rotary equipment design experience
-> Experience with Unigraphics NX release 5 or greater, Excel, and Word
-> Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents
-> Experience in Lean Enterprise, AWSD1.1 Weldment and Fabrication, Pumps, Cyclones, Valves, Vibration Analysis, Bearing life Calculations, Systems Calculations, Stress Calculations, and/or FEA and CFD analysis
-> Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, communication, motivational, human relations, record keeping, and follow-through skills
