Cathodic Arc Operator/Technician

Plan and perform cathodic arc coating of turbine blades and vanes. Setup, operate and service CAT Arc coating line.
- Work closely with and advise methods engineer to process unusual development, repair or rework items, and resolve problems.
- Under direction of supervisor work from process procedures, engineering drawings, manuals, engineering and MCL standards and other similar information to prepare parts, solutions and tooling for cathodic arc coating of production, development and repair turbine blades and vanes.
- Maintain equipment as necessary'7
Maintain proper inventory of consumable materials and documentation on process waste control
- Instruct others in proper processing techniques and methods and in the care and use of equipment to assure the meeting of material requirements.
- Assist others responsible for new part process tryout, repair and other specialized assignments within the scope and skill level of this job description.
- Check operation of equipment where a thorough knowledge of various processes is necessary to troubleshoot, repair and make adjustments.
- Operate fork lift or hand truck to move parts around department area.
- Refer difficulties to leader/supervisor.

Self starter who is diligent and precise in work detail and record keeping. Work from drawings, operations sheets, specifications and handbooks and use shop mathematics. Correctly use precision measuring instruments and equipment. The ability to work with little or no supervision. 2-3 years experience in plating and/or coatings preferred. DARO is a FAA regulated facility, and compliance with such rules is a condition of employment. Ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions in English. US Citizenship or permanent resident status required.
