Directly lead and supervise skilled hourly team members performing various engine component repair functions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Responsible for a variety of manufacturing processes and equipment and managing all aspects of production to ensure safety and desired component quality, cost, and schedules are achieved. Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, established policies and procedures. New ideas and methods of achieving business goals are encouraged and highly valued.
Typical duties will include but are not limited to the following:
1. Provide leadership and direction with emphasis on team building through daily toolbox meetings, effective communications, and in developing an efficient team that is responsive to production requirements, changes, and process improvements.
2. Embrace the continuous improvement culture, apply tools and maintain all required records to achieve the sought after ACE levels.
3. Establish work schedules taking into account customer requirements, resource availability, management of overtime, and other priorities.
4. Demonstrate 100% commitment to quality in actions, decisions, and conversations.
5. Establish standards for work effort and performance of subordinates; give constant feedback on performance to those standards. Advise associates when they achieve or exceed the standards as well as when they fall short. Provide rewards for excellence and take disciplinary action when required. Commit to meaningful and timely completion of the evaluation and coaching processes.
6. Ensure employees are fully trained in all aspects of EH&S.
7. Maintain training plans and records that document employees' qualifications to do the work assigned.

AA/AS degree w/5 to 10+ years experience
BA/BS degree w/2 to 5+ years experience
MA/MS degree w/0 to 2+ years experience
Minimum of three years experience in a manufacturing or production environment is required. Aerospace industry, front line supervisor or manufacturing engineering experience strongly preferred.
