POSITION PURPOSE:
To operate all equipment in his area during his shift as directed by his supervision
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES: Responsible for the safe, proper and timely operation of all equipment is his area according to the priorities set forth by his supervision.
Essential functional duties of the position -Comply with all safety regulations -Comply with all Environmental regulations -Properly charge all materials to each process per written procedures including amounts and rates -Properly maintains all batch parameters per written procedures -Properly maintains all process documentation and log sheets -Report any unsafe condition to supervision -Report any environmental issues (i.e. spills or releases) to supervision -Report any maintenance requirement to supervision -Report any process problem to supervision -Maintains respective work areas neat, clean and free of debris -In some areas properly monitors and maintains the operation of the RTO -Conduct a proper turn over with the off going and on coming shift -Completed operator training classes as provided by WeylChem Corporation -Apply knowledge of plant operations to assist plant supervisor -Apply knowledge of plant trouble shooting of all plant equipment to assist plant supervisor
KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Completed High school education or GED Satisfactorily completed all Operator training classes
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires: Walking, climbing stairs and standing for extend periods of time, stooping/bending, pushing / pulling, lifting, visual requirements, wearing proper personal protective equipment
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Mostly outside work
