Clinical Engineer Supervisor - Primary Children's
The role of the Clinical Engineering Supervisor is to have clinical equipment ready and functioning per manufactures specifications when needed by the clinical staff. With the responsibility to recommend, install and interface medical equipment, the Clinical Engineering Supervisor becomes an integral part in the facility. Responsible to see that regulatory requirements are in compliance, that equipment repair and preventive maintenance records are accessible for regulatory agencies and for internal use. The data collected by Clinical Engineering Supervisors is also used to determine when it makes sense to schedule the replacement of capital equipment or to determine if additional equipment assets are needed. The Clinical Engineering Supervisor is responsible for the activities of the Clinical Engineering department and overall departmental operation which includes supervisory responsibilities and coordinating activities with other departments and outside agencies.
THis is a full time, benefits eligible position.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate of Applied Science Degree in Electronics Technology
- Five years of experience as a Bio-Medical Electronic Technician (BMET)
- Demonstrates the ability to trouble-shoot electronics, mechanical and pneumatic equipment, and read and interpret technical documentation.
- Thorough knowledge of human anatomy and physiology is required.
- Candidate must possess demonstrated leadership skills, excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to provide clear direction to staff regarding assignments, policies, deadlines, etc.
- Ability to gain employee's trust and cooperation and promote a climate of teamwork.
- Demonstrates ability of effective verbal and written communication.
