Title CNC/Lathe Operator
Job Description Eaton Hydraulics Hutchinson KS has immediate openings for CNC/Lathe Operators. Ideal candidates will posses the following qualifications:
Working from programmed instructions, set up sheets, blueprints and in accordance with standard shop practices, set up and operate multiple machines to perform a sequence of operations such as mill, drill, turn, tap, bore, grind, and ream a variety of metal components used in hydraulic systems.
Ensure accuracy of program and the quality of parts through visual inspection and physical measurement.
Ability to safely and accurately use a wide variety of hand tools and gages.
Work in accordance with general safety rules and practices.
Keeps immediate work area clean and free from hazards.
Responsible for finished parts conformity to print or specification
Participate in continuous improvement of processes
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
/Educational Requirements One to three years manufacturing experience. CNC/Lathe experience desirable, but not required.
Ability to read blueprints and detailed written instructions.
Ability to interact and participate in a team driven culture.
Requires 4 years high school or equivalent plus advanced shop math and use of precision measuring instruments.
Preferred one year machining experience.
PHYSICAL DEMAND: Occasionally, exerting over 50 pounds of force. Frequent walking with the rest of the time spent standing.
WORKING CONDITIONS: Typical machine shop with exposure to oil, dirt and heat. Ability to work overtime as required. Ability to wear all required personal protective equipment (includes earplugs, safety glasses & steel-toed shoes.)
