CNC Machinist / Set-up on Okuma and/or Mazak
Appletree Staffing has partnered with a leading global supplier of Aerospace components in Indianapolis to assist in finding qualified CNC set up / machinists. Our partner has been in business right here in Indianapolis for 50+ years. They are a family owned/privately held manufacturing company for industries such as power generation, naval nuclear, and aerospace.
We are seeking qualified candidates to set up and operate CNC Lathes and/or Mills. Any experience with Okuma and/or Mazak set up or programming is a huge plus but not a requirement for consideration.
We are offering a competitive starting wage with bonus potential.
We have opportunities on both day shift and evenings (7am-3:30pm or 4pm - 2am).
There is a 90 day contract period but this is a career placement position meaning the company is fully involved in the interview process and hiring decision with full intention to keep the selected new hires for years!
They will provide an excellent benefit package including medical. dental, vision, holiday pay, vacation, 401k match etc.
Requirements:
Primary job requirements are :
-must pass criminal background and drug screen
- set up experience on Mazak lathes / mills
- set up experience on Okuma lathes / mills
- some editing / programming experience is a plus
- some experience working within aerospace tolerances is a plus
- excellent attendance record is a plus
- excellent previous work history is a plus
- ability to work 50 - 55 hours per week is a plus (no sundays)
- ability to work with limited supervision
- abilty to do efficient set ups
- ability to produce quality parts
- pay is negotiable based on experience
- candidates with leadership experience could be considered for a supervisor position
