Job Description Eaton Corporation located in Roxboro, NC has an opening for a Coldform Operator on 3rd shift. Compensation for the position includes a starting hourly wage of $13.77 with potential increases up to $17.85 per hour based on skill demonstration and successful completion of training. The position also includes a competitive benefits package. Just 30 minutes away from Raleigh/Durham, NC and South Boston, VA.
Description of Responsibilities:
Position is responsible for operating two or more Cold Form machines used to produce hydraulic lifter components. Duties will include: perform set-ups, machine adjustments, operator preventive maintenance and regular quality inspections on the product and other duties as assigned. Operator must feed raw materials (steel) into machines and equipment to process and manufacture products. Operator will shovel or scoop materials into containers, machines, or equipment for processing, storage, or transport. Operator will add chemicals, lubricants, solutions, or ingredients to machines or equipment to ensure manufacturing process meets specifications. Some heavy lifting, up to 50 pounds, may be required.
Requirements:
The selected candidate must have mechanical and technical skills required to perform the duties described above. Requires ability to use hand tools, strong math skills, ability to read blue prints, and perform SPC charting. Previous experience using gauges and basic troubleshooting skills required. Previous experience in metal forming or machining is required. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
