The position will give the professional the ability to strengthen their technical skills while being exposed to most recent pronouncements and also provides the opportunity to assist clients with process improvement and establishing construction controls including appraising progress to mitigate project risks. The candidate will be responsible for: * Evaluating contract compliance. * Testing contractor billing, cost accounting and scheduling systems. * Analyzing change order costs and evaluating claims. * Verifying receipt of credits and analyzing labor costs Additionally the candidate will be expected to test cost reporting systems to determine those systems are an effective tool for project management and project costs are accurately reported. They will assess and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls, and identify and document recommendations for business process and internal control improvements for a more effective, efficient and controlled operation. The candidate will conduct project and risk assessments, draft audit programs, prepare appropriate work-papers and write audit reports in accordance with professional audit standards. Candidates must have a strong focus on client service and be able to effectively communicate with the client at various levels.

* Construction Management (CM), General Contractor (GC) experience preferred. * Experience as a Construction Auditor, Accounting Manager, or Senior Project Accountant with cost control and management responsibilities also preferred. * A relevant undergraduate degree and a related professional designation ( e.g. CCFP, CIA, CISA, CGA, CA, CMA or CPA) * Minimum 5 years of clearly progressive, professional development in the general area of accounting and/or auditing; minimum of 3 years of experience with analysis of complex engineering and construction projects and disputes * Understanding of contract audits relating to internal controls and systems such as accounting system, labor system, purchasing system, estimating system and timekeeping system. * Knowledge of construction claims, project management, and experience with a Contractor would be a plus * Certification (CIA, CPA/CA, CISA, CFE) preferred
