Construction Engineering Inspector - Level 2 Location: Knoxville, TN Salary Range: Based on experience Exempt/Non-Exempt: Non-Exempt Benefits: Full time regular Employment Type: Full time Regular Department: Knoxville branch office Description: Thompson Engineering has an immediate career opportunity in our Knoxville, TN office for a Level II CE&I Insepector. This position is responsible for the daily inspection, testing, and reporting of heavy highway and/or bridge construction operations. Duties: Responsibilities include the construction inspection, materials testing, and reporting of heavy roadway and/or bridge construction project operations. Qualifications: 5 or more years construction inspection experience on heavy roadway and/or bridge projects including the construction inspection of roadway paving operations, excavation and embankment construction, utility (water, sewer and gas) construction, culvert and drainage structures construction, bridge construction, traffic control set-up, and erosion prevention and sediment control.
Certifications Needed:
Asphalt Roadway Asphalt Plant Soils & Aggregates EPSC Level 1 and/or Storm Water Inspection NICET Construction Materials ATTSA Traffic Control Technician
