Construction Manager-Chemical/Refinery/Construction
Chemical Plant Construction Professionals! A chemical client in the Houston area is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to lead projects all across the US. Extensive travel is required. This is an outstanding opportunity for growth, and relocation assistance is available.

Responsibilities:

-> Use your experience in construction of chemical manufacturing facilities to manage construction sites around the US
-> Oversee all aspects of the construction, from site work to civil and concrete to piping to equipment setting, to electrical and instrumentation
-> Make sure everyone on site follows the company standards for safety, quality, schedule, cost, and compliance to specifications including API and ANSI standards
-> Manage contractors and make sure they fully understand the project scope and their roles
-> Verify and approve invoices for work performed and equipment delivered
-> Write and submit weekly and monthly progress reports as required, to keep upper management informed on how the project is progressing

Requirements:

-> At least 10 years experience in chemical, petro-chemical, or refinery construction, including construction management
-> BS degree in engineering preferred
-> Experience with petro-chemical plant construction techniques and demonstrated knowledge of various engineering disciplines ? civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation
-> Experience with API and ANSI standards that apply to petro-chemical plant piping, pressure vessels, and other equipment and construction
-> Demonstrated use of quality control techniques in construction
-> Experience with other phases of the project life cycle such as planning and scheduling, material receiving, progress tracking, contracts, etc
