Construction Technician II Location: Fayetteville, NC Salary Range: TBA Benefits: TBA Employment Type: Full Time Office: Fayetteville Description: TITLE: Technician II QUALIFYING STANDARDS: Possess the ability to perform moderate systems repair and assembly by trouble-shooting and using various diagnostic equipment. Should have a working knowledge of CAT literature systems and be proficient in at least one mechanical system (i.e. hydraulics, transmissions, electrical, etc.). Regularly meets over 80% of job time repair standards. This standard usually takes up to four years direct work experience. II. PHYSICAL STANDARDS: Shop Activity- Must be able to daily and repeatedly stoop, kneel, bend and climb beside, onto and underneath various equipment to perform diagnosis and repairs. Must be able to effectively see to perform repairs, research technical manuals, and develop written repair work order reports. Must be able to routinely and physically lift/position various parts to perform repairs/service and manually handle parts up to 50 pounds, as well as use mechanical hoist for heavier parts. III. OTHER STANDARDS: Educational- Must have a high school education or GED and be able to effectively read technical manuals and written instructions. Must be able to effectively write repair activities on customer work orders. Must have cognitive reasoning and problem solving skills to apply knowledge, written information and verbal instructions in repairing/servicing unusual and/or unknown technical equipment operational problems. Should have exposure to P.C. base equipment and parts information.
