Description
Responsibilities: · The CIS (Continuous Improvement Specialist) is responsible for the facility’s continuous improvement program encompassing all raw materials, finished products, analytical testing equipment, charging systems and product storage parameters contributing to long term value of our products. · The CIS is responsible forPMI(Product Manufacturing Instructions) maintenance, approval and modifications as necessary. This includes preproduction control plans, reactor simulations, and post production reviews. Interactions with R&D and the sales teams to standardize plant manufacturing methods to achieve customer expectations are crucial to the success of the organization. · The CIS will provide technical support to theALB/EUG organization Operations Excellence program and will have ownership of the Yield & Quality key capabilities. · The CIS is responsible for analyzing, performing and monitoring the root cause analysis relating to process variation events. · The CIS is responsible for periodic environmental tasks in support of theALB/EUG Environmental Coordinator. · The CIS supervises one chemist that has responsibilities at both theAlbany&Eugenefacilities.
Education: Bachelors of Science degree required; Chemistry degree preferred.
Basic Qualifications: 5 years of industrial/manufacturing-related experience Experience in a PSM covered facility is preferred.
Knowledge – Skills – Abilities: Strong technical troubleshooting Familiarity with Quality Lab practices/techniques Environmental compliance/ regulations knowledge Microsoft Office, PI, andMSCapplications experience Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills Be capable of workign in a tobacco free environment
