Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Business Management or a related field. . Minimum 3-5 years experience in a manufacturing or materials management environment. . Experienced in a "mature" union environment, preferred. . Working knowledge of MRP or other scheduling systems. Experience with Oracle or similar ERP. . Training and/or knowledge in Lean, Six Sigma, and Theory of Constraint management. . APICS Certification is preferred. . Other duties as assigned Job Description: Typical Duties/Essential Job Functions: 1. Analyze orders, builds and releases print orders for assigned areas. 2. Prioritize and revise schedules based on internal and/or external customer requirements. 3. Expedite raw material or outside operations to ensure on-time delivery to our customers 4. Evaluate capacity versus demand and makes recommendations to Director of Manufacturing and/or Focus Factory Manager to correct overload situations (i.e. adjust staffing levels, over time, outsource, shift work load or alternate work centers) 5. Conduct an analysis of capacity available, plan, assess and execute recommendations, determines amount of orders to be release, sequence, lot size and quantity. 6. Keeps informed of business rules, policies, products and programs as they relate to the scheduling of work. 7. Plan and analyze schedules and orders to correctly load the schedule for each piece of equipment or resource in the production facility. 8. Conduct research within the Oracle and Business systems, to correct error reports. 9. Ensure accurate inventory of both work in process and line stocked materials. 10. Monitor deadlines to ensure that proper workflow is maintained and adequate queuing of departments occurs based on established production schedules. Provides customer promise dates for past due orders 11. Maintain balance within the Business System by modifying documents or conducting additional transactions. 12. Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
