Job Description Summary: The Cost Analyst is responsible for cost models, cost estimates, component cost reporting, pricing, and cost and pricing estimating techniques. Utilizes "should" cost model to support and confirm quotes from suppliers. Work with operations and engineering teams to target savings through commodity analysis and process improvements. The Cost Analyst will provide engineering support & guidance to the engineering team and be a liaison between the finance and business development for proposal detail and analysis. Responsibilities will include working with other business units on their internal bid process flow and large bid packages, as required. Other areas of focus would supporting the "should cost" analysis for customer pricing as well as cost breakdowns submitted with proposals. Basic Qualifications: 4 Year Degree: Engineering (ME or AE) or 4 years of specifically related experience in lieu of education.
- 4 years experience in a related field required. - 3 years of Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering experience preferred, in a high precision machining environment. - Knowledge of manufacturing processes, especially machining. - Experience working on and leading multiple projects in a team environment. - Knowledge of costing systems preferred. - Supply Chain, Strategic Sourcing, or related experience preferred. - Experience working with multiple departments and functions. Engineering, Marketing, C.I., and Operations preferred.
