Description
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for responding to inbound calls and providing assistance, technical support, information, guidance, direction, and instruction while maintaining open communications with distributors and customers. Coordinate with departments in the follow through of customer service support. Strengthen and promote goodwill with existing and potential distributors and customers.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: * Receive and respond to incoming customer service calls, mail, facsimiles, or e-mail. * Respond to a high volume of requests and demands as to assure customer satisfaction while maintaining the highest degree of customer service. * Assist distributors with product pricing and delivery including high volume quotations. * Accurately edit and process orders including EDI order requests in a timely manner into database system. * Supply samples, labels, delivery times, etc. to distributors and customers as requested. * Direct customers to the proper distributor. * Provide distributors and customers with product technical support and instruction * Resolve distributors and customers shipping and freight issues.
Job Specifications:
Knowledge: * Ability to follow through all customer service support from customer inquiry to invoice * Detailed knowledge of company’s product manufacturing processes * Strong knowledge of company’s invoicing, shipping, and freight methods and procedures * Knowledgeable of agriculture industry
Skills/Abilities:(Typical skills and abilities may include the following:) * Work well under pressure resolve high volume of product issues and warranties whileremaining professional * Excellent listening and problem solving skills with the ability to provide customer technical support * High degree of data entry accuracy and productivity * Professional phone skills including opening and closing calls * Ability to provide constant focus and attention to customers needs * Resourceful in finding customer solutions or resources * PC literate (MS Word, Excel, E-Mail) * Excellent communication skills including business writing skills * Strong knowledge and experience with SAP is preferred Education/Experience: * High School Diploma or equivalent * 4+ years customer service experience preferable in agriculture industry Competencies: Trust & Integrity Tack Courteous Conformity Customer Focus Flexible Root Cause Analysis
