Requisition Number 29303BR Position Title Design Assurance Technician Location of Position United States-Wisconsin-Milwaukee Business Group Operations and Engineering Services Relocation Eligible No Position Type Full Time Position Summary The primary responsibility for this position is to assist Quality and Development Engineering with tasks and deliverables related to evaluating, verifying, and qualifying new product designs and performance. In addition, this position will assist Quality Engineering in performing Root Cause Failure Analysis, RCFA, related to customer returned products.
This position will include but not limited to the following: Person will perform technical functions related to the support of development engineering activities such as design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronics and Electro-mechanical systems, experimental design circuitry, prototype models or specialized test equipment. Applications may include analog, digital and/or video type circuits and logic systems.
Will need to have working experience with schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts or defined plans to perform routine testing, checkout, troubleshooting, prototype building, environmental testing, and simple developmental engineering tasks.
Be able to perform operational tests and fault isolation on development systems and equipment to ensure conformance with design specifications, Diagnose and isolate malfunctions down to component level, conduct defined engineering tests and collect data as assigned.
Be able to utilize development or diagnostic equipment including oscilloscope, VOM, DVM, signal generators and similar test apparatus.
Functional Expertise:
Working knowledge Industrial Components products, both electronic and electro-mechanical.
Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot products.
Effectively design new test stations for product evaluation.
Ability to run/program SLC products.
Detailed knowledge of how Relays operate.
Able to function in daily environment that has a high level of complexity and that requires excellent multi-tasking skills.
Will need someone that can work with a minimum day to day to supervision.
Effectively work as a team member.
Effectively organize and present technical data.
Respond with urgency to customer quality issues through investigation and product analysis.
Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality and environmental regulations (state/federal laws, ISO 9001, ISO 14000, etc.) as well as Rockwell/Rockwell Automation policies and procedures. Minimum Qualifications An associate's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical engineering is preferred.
Typically requires a minimum of 6-8 years of related experience.
