Design Engineer-Design/Pumps/Rotating Equipment
A global manufacturer that serves the oil & gas, power generation, and water resources industries has an immediate opening for a Design Engineer in Los Angeles, CA. This is a great opportunity to work with an industry leader.
Responsibilities:
-> Generate 2-D drawings and 3-D models of pump components & assemblies as per applicable codes, specification, customer requirements and drafting standards -> Actively participate in managing and executing task schedules to ensure timely completion of all assigned engineered drawings & other duties as assigned -> Conduct design analysis using calculations, FEA?s, and other design verification methods and document results -> Assist in the reduction of lead-time for production of fabrication drawings per company standards
Requirements:
-> Qualified degree in an Engineering discipline, and strong proficiency in engineering & design software -> Minimum of 3-5 years post qualifying experience gained within relevant industry sector -> Demonstrates a proficiency in 2-D and 3-D engineering & design software per appropriate drafting and design standards (experience in rotating equipment design highly preferred) -> Possess working knowledge of ANSI B16.5 Piping and Flange and ANSI Y 14.5 Drafting Standard -> Have a high standard of written and spoken English as well as strong PC skills and experience with Microsoft Windows, Word, and Powerpoint. Additional language skills would be desirable
