Design Engineer-Gas Turbine/Rotating Parts/Design
ISO-9001 Certified client located just north of West Palm Beach, FL has an immediate need for a Design Engineer with industrial gas turbine parts design experience. The client is looking for individuals with expert level experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Extensive cooled airfoil design and modeling experience is preferred.
Responsibilities:
-> Clean-sheet designs -> Conceptual CAD modeling -> Patent searches -> Stress calculations, fits and clearances -> Material, coating, and heat treatment selection -> Engineering spec creation, model review/approval, and final documentation -> Budgeting and scheduling
Requirements:
-> BSME or BSAE degree -> 4-6 years of relevant design experience -> Experience with rotating part design for gas turbines, industrial gas turbine experience is preferred -> Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) expert -> Experience with Pro/Engineer -> Extensive cooled airfoil design and modeling experience is preferred -> Experience with Windchill, Geomagic, and M/S Office is a plus
