Career Opportunity : The Canadian Sales & Technical Services Division of Weyerhaeuser Engineered Wood Products has an entry-level opportunity in our Calgary, Alberta office.

Weyerhaeuser offers a range of career options, ranging from structural design, to software technical support, to technical sales representation; in all cases working with key market influencers - Specifiers & Architects, engineers, Pro-builders and Dealers, in the successful marketing of our Trus Joist®brand of products.

As a successful candidate, you will receive comprehensive training in the use of our proprietary Javelin®design software to perform structural analysis, beam and joist sizing calculations, and structural framing layout & design. Learn and perform 'value-analysis' to optimize efficiency and help specify the best structural systems. Answer technical questions pertaining to Trus Joist products and services.

Requirements:
* A diploma in either Architectural Technology, Civil/Structural Technology or Engineering Design and Drafting.
* Working knowledge of windows based PC applications.
* Self-motivated, positive attitude, energetic and willing to learn.
* Applicants must possess good math and communication skills, and be capable of functioning successfully both independently and in a team system.
* Work related experience within the residential building and framing construction sector would be an asset.
* Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD programs would be an asset.
