Diesel Engine Machinist/ Machine Shop Supervisor - Diesel Specialists is a small family owned company located in Baton Rouge, La that is looking for the right candidate to fill a vital position in our remanufacturing/ machine shop department. We have been in business for over 35 years and have continued to see steady growth during these tough times. Our primary markets are the heavy duty marine, industrial, and oilfield industries both nationally and internationally. We handle everything from new parts distribution and machine shop services to full engine rebuilding. Unlike many local companies, we do a tremendous amount of international business and are not as susceptible to local market trends.
The position we are hiring for will be responsible for the supervision of our Machine Shop. Our Machine Shop is responsible for all cylinder block and crankshaft services. Applicant must have full working knowledge and experience in an engine rebuilding machine shop. Services we offer include but are not limited to crankshaft grinding, cylinder block line-boring, resurfacing, cylinder head rebuilding, and cylinder honing. We have a mixture of both manual and CNC equipment throughout the shop.
