Dimensional Analyst
The Dimensional Engineering Analyst is responsible for leading dimensional improvements on vehicle geometry through part, tooling, or design actions. Work with Metrology Center/Plant/Validation team members to analyze complex parts and sub-assemblies (sheet metal, exterior and interior) using various measurement systems (example, Meisterbock, Quality Assurance Fixtures, Laser Trackers, CMMs, In-Line Vision Stations). Perform data analysis, often organizing data from multiple sources to identify top issues and potential root causes. Work with production personnel and plant quality engineers to recommend and validate proposed solutions. Verify effectiveness of corrective actions implemented through data analysis. Proactively monitor trend charts and work with cross-functional teams to drive variation reduction of critical product and process characteristics. Generate custom reports as necessary. This is an entry level position. New college graduates are encouraged to apply.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering • Strong analytical and problem solving skills • Knowledge in basic statistics and process control required • Strong communication skills with ability to work with a cross-functional teams • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in using statistical analysis applications. Good data analysis skills. ex: Minitab or equivalent statistical package. (preferred) • Knowledge in Advanced Statistical concepts.(preferred)
