Director Project Delivery Engineering - Integration and Testing - Nuclear Foxboro, MA
Provides leadership for the integration and testing of large DCS projects. Leads technical integration of subcontractor-supplied main control room and information display systems with Invensys supplied DCS (safety and non-safety) as well as interfaces to third-party systems. Oversees complex system level testing and troubleshooting and provides support for site testing and resolution of field-generated changes. Works closely with the Verification and Validation group to ensure timely and successful testing of DCS systems. Actively involved in project support and resolution of interface issues and responsible for project engineering support to all new plant projects. Anticipates potential changes in project deliverables and timing and ensures project managers are aware in order to re-contract or secure additional engineering resources. Reduces project risk and schedule by minimizing re-work. Participates in industry forums.
Principal Accountabilities: · Provides strong leadership to the Integration, Testing and Project Engineering groups aligned to the business strategy; Invensys Values and Competencies · Establishes positive relationships with customers (internal and external) · Develops staff to ensure technical, project management, and financial skills are established throughout the group to support growth · Provides financial oversight and reports to the Director Engineering on financial targets; drives for success on margins and gross profit · May coordinate with Sales and Marketing and Research and Development to ensure customer needs are met and new systems can be properly integrated and tested consistent with market expectations.
Requirements: Strong management and communication capabilities. Knowledge of nuclear power and related industry regulations, codes and standards.
Minimum of 15 years of commercial nuclear power experience: management Safety Grade I&C engineering, integration, testing.
Education: BS Engineering, MS Management is desirable - or equivalent education and experience.
Significant travel required (including international) - up to 30%
