Visit our corporate website for more information: Position Overview This position will serve as the operational leader for the New Brighton manufacturing facility, delivering expected results in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. Specifically, this role will build operational talent, address key operational performance challenges, and implement sustainable standard practices around lean through our Strategy Deployment Process. Expected results will be sustainable improvements along three key categories: net productivity, on-time deliveries, and inventory turns for the location. This is an operational leadership role within the Residential Flow Global Business Unit (GBU), reporting into the Vice President Supply Chain Integration for the GBU and leading a matrixed operations team of both direct and indirect reports. Major Areas of Accountability * Drive Lean culture through the establishment and implementation of continuous improvement plans and activities including value stream mapping, Kaizens and TPM. Establish the New Brighton facility as a World Class Lean Manufacturing facility. * Meet and exceed year over year financial targets through active continuous improvement projects and driving material and non material cost out of the business. * Direct and manage the establishment and maintenance of production schedules, quality standards and performance metrics in support of the organizational goals and objectives. * Actively monitor and manage manpower head count within the production area. Recommend increases and decreases of head count to support production requirements with a focus on cost and budget. * Lead and mentor managers and supervisors in the development of a Winning Culture. Develop and improve the skills, knowledge and abilities of the managers and supervisors to ensure strong succession planning. * Establish and maintain high visibility to employees and create a safe environment for participation. Promote hands-on, high involvement approaches to problem solving. * Excellent organization, analytical, communication and presentation skills. Minimum Qualifications Required: * BA or BS in engineering or related field * MBA strongly preferred * 5 -10 years in a Lean Manufacturing Leadership Role or equivalent * Demonstrated understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts * Proven history of increased responsibility and knowledge
