The Procurement Services Director will lead the training, development and promotion of world class procurement strategies for both goods and services throughout all levels and all areas of the organization.
Leading the efforts of various service organizations both internally and externally ensuring quality deliverables at the lowest cost will be a core activity on a daily basis.
This leader will focus on profit improvement, strong customer satisfaction, accomplishing company goals, and reporting results accurately and timely.
Responsibilities will include:
* Direct both internal and external service providers including setting client expectations, managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality deliverables, and manage the operational budgets for each area. Areas covered include:
- Travel - Credit Cards - Corporate Cars - Vending - Cafeteria Services - Record Retention - Corporate Mail Services
* Proactively manage service providers including regular performance evaluations, feedback and corrective actions to ensure world class service.
* Track and improve vendor performance through the use of key performance indicators.
* Support organizational growth by providing strategic direction, maintaining existing relationships and building new relationships to ensure world class service at lowest available cost.
* Identify, evaluate and develop new reliable sources for existing or new products and services where vendors are inadequate or new offerings may be appropriate.
* Determine short and long term resource requirements ensuring proper resource allocation and utilization.
* Work with all department heads to develop an ongoing sourcing strategy for the various supplier provided services throughout the organization.
* Support and partner with the other procurement areas to recognize and implement expense reduction opportunities, through competitive bidding and reverse auctions in all non merchandise and service categories.
* Optimize the supply base through strategic sourcing, researching and implementing new profit improvement tools.
* Work with cross functional teams throughout the organization to recognize and implement expense reduction opportunities utilizing the appropriate sourcing tools.
* Train and develop immediate team to provide excellent, timely service and clear communication at all levels.
* Monitor expenditures for the sourcing and supplier management function. This includes maintaining and supporting expenditure constraint and alignment with the company's and department's budget and fiduciary requirements.

* Experience within retail store procurement. * Knowledge of eProcurement, Procure to Pay, and Reverse Auction Systems * Experience in Strategic Sourcing with a major company, to include strong negotiation and supplier management experience. * Experience managing 3rd party service providers * Experience with simultaneously and continuously improving customer satisfaction, and productively in the sourcing and supplier management area. * Demonstrated success leading project teams to achieve quantifiable savings by applying sourcing methods. * PC Proficiency in Microsoft applications; MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point), Reporting and Analysis Tools * Qualified candidates must possess a minimum of five years non merchandise procurement, Oracle and budgetary experience a plus
