Job Description Summary: The SIS Supply Chain Director is a SIS Senior Leadership Team (SLT) position responsible for working with the SIS Executive Leadership Team and SLT to develop and deploy the supply chain strategic initiatives throughout the SIS business. As a member of the SLT, the position works as a horizontal team member of the SLT to be accountable to lead SIS in all aspects of the business in a 1 - 3 year horizon. Specific to the supply chain function, the position has the responsibility for the strategic procurement of over $400M in electrical and mechanical components and subassemblies annually, with a high growth rate. The Supply Chain Director position must lead at the Executive Leadership level, with strategic agility, vision and purpose, command skills and team building. The position interfaces with CEOs of major suppliers, and is a chief negotiator for long term contracts and problem resolution. This position leads the organization in the utilization of the Goodrich Supply Chain Processes and the Goodrich Operating System (GOS), and the processes and tools incorporated within those systems.
The Supply Chain Director position is responsible for the leadership and management of the SIS Operations Excellence Supply Chain Group, including the Operations Excellence Supply Chain individuals located at various SIS sites, consisting of approximately 50 individuals. Leading this organization in the Goodrich Culture, including Goodrich Values, Goodrich People Philosophy and Continuous Improvement is a key requirement for this leadership position. This position reports to the Vice President of Operations Excellence at SIS.
The position will also work with the Enterprise Operations Excellence and Technology Supply Chain Group and other Goodrich Strategic Business Units (SBUs) to develop and deploy Enterprise-wide strategies, processes and tools to advance supply chain processes and performance through the Enterprise. The position represents SIS on the Goodrich Supply Chain Council.
Specifically, this position requires leadership for the following objectives: - SIS supply chain development for perfect delivery and perfect quality performance - SIS supply chain supplier assessments and risk mitigation - SIS supply chain compliance with Nadcap accreditation, ITAR classification, compliant parts and process discipline - SIS Global Supply Chain leadership - SIS supplier consolidation and supplier transition process discipline - SIS direct material and indirect material cost reduction - SIS supply chain process integration for SIS acquisitions - SIS Supply Chain Management Process 740A, and all sub-740A processes management system processes - SIS supply chain Management System Document (MSD) creation and maintenance consistent with the latest process updates and linkage to GR QMS. - Leader and SIS participant on Goodrich Supply Chain Council - Leading the SIS organization in the Goodrich Culture, including Goodrich Values, Goodrich People Philosophy and Continuous Improvement
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelors Degree (4 year) in a Technical or Business Field.
- At least 12 years of professional experience, at least 7 years of management experience.
- Preferred to have at least 5 years of Supply Chain experience.
- At least 5 years of global business experience is preferred.
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
- Experience working in cross-functional, cross-company teams and external customers and suppliers.
- Highly detail oriented, diligent, hard working with excellent supplier and customer interface skills.
- Strong computer skills. - Thorough understanding of strategic supply chain management processes and tools.
- Experience and proven results in Continuous Improvement % Travel Required: 20 - 30%
