Director, Production Operations
The T-X Production Operations Program Director will be responsible for managing, coordinating, developing, and executing Hawk cost reduction strategies, product evolution and product infrastructure associated with the Hawk aircraft. Responsibilities also include working with BAES prime contractor Hawk champions to develop roadmaps, competitive analyses, cost reduction plans and marketing presentations. Must be self motivated with demonstrated ability to lead, motivate and coordinate multi-discipline/functional teams. The OPM must possess the ability to effectively interface with Hawk product champions, program IPTs, Business Development managers and Functional managers. The successful candidate must be capable of exploiting emerging technologies and leading executable product cost reduction plans to support strategic growth and bottom line performance.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of 10 years experience managing production of aircraft, engines, components maintenance, supply chain, operational and configuration management. Strong manufacturing background that includes: Financial/Profit, Loss and Reduction, Aircraft Modification Programs, Aviation Program Management, Contract Logistics/Engineering Services, Government Contracts, Continuous Improvement, and Business Development. A Bachelors degree required with experience in product engineering and/or manufacturing. Desired Skills: An advanced degree (technical or business) is highly preferred. Six Sigma and Lean experience preferred. Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a DoD SECRET Security Clearance if required.
