A circuits manufacturer is searching for a Director of Purchasing for their Newport Beach, CA site and reporting to the Corporate VP of Purchasing. They will lead and manage all aspects of purchasing and materials to enable profitable growth.
Responsibilities:
-> Provide sourcing leadership and management by taking full ownership of all procurement and logistics supporting the manufacturing site, IT, logistics, and site services
-> Develop, rationalize, lead, manage, articulate, and execute corporate global sourcing plan. This includes determining current and long-term requirement in Newport Beach as well as other partner locations
-> Working closely with the corp. team in establishing the corporate supply chain, infrastructure and purchasing processes
-> Responsible for continuous improvement on the procurement process and best in-class spend rate
-> Plan and execute near term and long term global procurement to efficiently increase cash profit margin
Requirements:
-> 15 years with sourcing, supply chain management or substantially similar experience
-> Bachelor's degree required either in Engineering, Business, Management, Finance, Accounting, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Psychology, Operations Management, Law or related discipline
-> Graduate degree preferred
-> Driving over $100 million dollars in annual purchasing volume
-> Experience in negotiation and management of large contracts
-> Demonstrated expertise in a diverse variety of continuous process improvement concepts, practices, and procedures, and implementing such practice to change the cultural paradigm
-> Experience in CAPEX, material purchasing, import/export, and warehouse management
-> Management experience in an technology industry preferred
