Territory (if applicable): Supply Chain Business Unit: Supply Chain includes facilities and processes that operate to manufacture a finished product from raw material and deliver to the end-user. This business unit enhances competitive advantage, efficiency, innovation, quality and consistency. Position Purpose: The primary function of this position is to develop and oversee implementation of all network strategies developed and support distribution goals for the businesses, including improvement of plant run warehouses. This requires the support of all business units and understanding supply chain initiatives, which are used as criteria in developing plans to support distribution. This is accomplished by leading, motivating and providing the business and functions with the direction needed to create and execute innovative, distribution plans. Additionally, the position will support distribution by establishing and maintaining effective relationships with key 3PL's, lessors, and outside service providers, having a thorough knowledge of market trends and partner capabilities. And develop improvement plans for plant warehouses. Interfaces with senior leadership to report on the state of the facilities, communicates to the organization strategic and tactical strategies for improving the cost and operational aspects of the facilities. Required (Basic) Experience & Education: 15 years of progressive distribution, operations and supply chain experience. Understanding of market trends and service provider capabilities is very important. Required Competencies & Other Skills: Must have had managerial experience as well as planning and forecasting capacity, headcount, budget responsibility etc. Must have good analytical skills and be able to conduct price negotiations.
