Summary of Position: Conducts, as directed, test and data collection activities of electronic circuits, related equipment and component systems. Performs installation and repairs of test equipment and components when necessary. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Responsible for testing, troubleshooting to component level, and repair of RF and digital circuit boards and electronic and/or electro-mechanical assemblies. * Follows assembly procedures (Process Plans) and test procedures (Process Plans & QCPs). * Identify to supervisor any updates required in documentation in a timely manner. * Maintains positive working relationships with other departments * Troubleshoots problems to component level as they occur * Trains personnel as necessary * Conducts test of new components, assemblies and systems based on test criteria as established by policies and appropriate Development and Testing Group input. * Conducts various performance test of the company's product in accordance with test criteria established by policies and procedures and/or written test plans and maintains accurate records of test results and reports results on appropriate data sheets. * Operates required machinery and equipment in a safe manner following established safety rules, maintains a neat and clean work area, follows established tool and instrument control procedures, and reports any unsafe acts or conditions to immediate supervisor. * Performs inspections and installation of parts and components, maintains accurate records of the installation of these parts and the collection of the test data, and performs these inspections in a manner consistent with established guidelines and uired Skills
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Ability to read assembly blueprints and schematics. * Ability to set up and operate test equipment per procedures. * Soldering SMD and through hole to JSTD-001 * Perform repairs to IPC standards * Operation of various pieces of test equipment * Reading schematics * Ability to effectively troubleshoot Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: * Training in LEAN Manufacturing * Experience in single piece flow manufacturingRequired Experience Education and Experience: * A.A.S. degree in electronics or an appropriate technical curriculum. * Five years related experience in an electronic assembly industry. * Knowledge of Electronic practices and principles. Experience in testing processes, equipment such as signal generators, network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and test techniques related to electronic circuits. Must possess demonstrated ability to operate shop equipment before allowed to use on a regular basis independently. * Must be able to speak and write using the English language. * Ability to lift and/or move over 50 lbs.
