Electrical Technician/Panel Builder
Title Electrical Technician/Panel Builder Division ATS Test Location Woodbridge, Ontario Major Duties Responsible for electronic fabrication, power up, debug and site installation of custom automated test equipment. Specific Responsibilities . Electronic fabrication of automated test equipment. . Use of proper wiring techniques, wire gauge, insulation colors and proper grounding techniques and Ontario Hydro Standards, for the purpose of panel/cell wiring to fabricate complete test systems as part of a project team. . Metal fabrication including drilling, tapping, cutting and engraving. . Troubleshooting system faults, and the debugging of automated test systems. . Installing and/or repairing equipment at other ATS facilities and at customer sites located internationally.
Qualifications . A Technician or Technologist Diploma from an accredited community college and/or related work experience. . Basic knowledge of electrical standards and able to read electrical schematics. . Demonstrated experience in soldering techniques. . Demonstrated experience working with hand tools. . Previous panel building/wiring experience an asset. . Experience in an industrial environment is an asset. . Willing to work overtime when required and able to travel internationally for up to 3 weeks at a time. . Must hold a valid drivers license. . Able to deal positively with customers and other personnel. . Excellent problem solving skills. . Good verbal communication skills. . Able to complete tasks with minimal supervision. . Computer literacy . Experience in an industrial environment is an asset.
